To open Links: Insert the link into the side jaws as shown below, closing the handles to spread the links open.

To close links: Open the handles and insert the link between the top jaws. Squeeze the handles to close the links.

Additional features: If the links are spread open too much, open the handles and insert the link between the top jaws and squeeze the handles closed. If the links are crimped too tight, insert the link into the side jaw and squeeze the handles closed.
